Multimedia Storytelling
Online multimedia presentations are one of the most exciting and promising new vehicles for showcasing and disseminating information on the Internet. These types of presentations have many uses, including advertising, fundraising, storytelling, and exhibition.
Artists employ several different mediums (such as photography, video, and sound) to create online multimedia presentations, allowing them to tell stories, share relevant information, and convey their artistic vision. Documentarians, photojournalists, fine art photographers, and amateur storytellers are changing the way we communicate and share information.
Below are several multimedia pieces that I have captured and produced. Other examples of this kind of work can be found at: Don’t F-Stop, MediaStorm, New York Times Lens Blog, Magnum In Motion, and SoundSlides.
The Guinea Project:
During the summer of 2009 I traveled with the African Development Coalition to document the group’s humanitarian project in Guinea, West Africa. We lived in Guinea for almost two months, spending most of our time in Conakry and the small village of Mitty Maadou.
Christopher Houlihan:
In this presentation I focus on my friend, renowned organist Christopher Houlihan. His story is inspiring. Music has always been an enormous part of Chris’ life and it continues to shape his world today. After graduating from Trinity College in May of 2009, Chris began touring professionally while simultaneously attending graduate school at The Juilliard School in New York.
